Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc (JLT) announced the formation of JLT Reinsurance Brokers Limited as of Jan. 1.
JLT Re is a separate and dedicated reinsurance broker and wholly owned subsidiary of the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group.
The previous reinsurance broking capabilities within JLT Risk Solutions were transferred to the new operation, including more than 100 staff.
The new board of JLT Re consists of Alan Griffin as chairman and chief executive, Keith Fenwick as chief operating officer, Andrew Love as finance director, and Alistair Lockhart-Smith and Paul Jack as managing directors.
In a statement, Mr. Griffin said, “JLT Re brings together a team of professionals who are committed to offering their clients the highest standard of services ranging from traditional reinsurance program design and execution to actuarial analysis and modeling. The new company will focus on creating bespoke risk management solutions to address the constantly evolving needs of our industry.”
