Agency Management Software Firm Debuts

It appears independent agencies have a new technology solution to turn to for their agency management needs with the unveiling of My Agency Solutions, a New York-based software solutions provider to the insurance industry.

Officially launched during the recent ASCNet annual conference in Nashville, My Agency Solutions was created by a team of insurance professionals with a background in software development, the company said. The privately-held firm's aim is to provide software solutions to the insurance industry, with its current offerings focusing on agency management for independent agents.

The company's products include Agency Renewal Processor, Agency CRM, Agency New Business and Coverage Coach.

"[Our] expertise in the insurance sector enables us to address the needs of our clients by providing them with products designed to conform to and automate their business processes," said the company's president, Fred Gaston. "Today, agency staff are simply overwhelmed with information and procedures, and agencies can't get effective control over their renewals to assure customer satisfaction and high retention."

The Agency Renewal Processor is a browser-based, renewal tracking system intended to maximize agency productivity and retention, the company said. The software program will give a producer access to a host of features to enable an agency to implement a uniform renewal procedure and ensure that all milestones in the renewal process are met.

The product includes an electronic marketing file to store everything related to renewing an account in one place, the company noted. The program can indicate whether renewal milestones are on track or behind for a book of business. It also allows a user to drill down for details about the pre-renewal call, as well as the renewal strategy and activities.

"The challenge our customers face is how to find a way to automate the tracking of detailed renewal workflows with many milestones, and assuring that the workflows are executed on a timely basis and uniformly across the organization," said Chris Nydell, the company's chief technology officer. "Most agencies identify with this need but are frustrated by having to perform these tasks outside of their agency management systems in Excel or manually."

He added that as a software solution provider, "our role is to make cost-effective products available to insurance agents to automate the entire workflow process. We will enable these agents to take complete control over their renewal processes and minimize the need for time-consuming renewal meetings and follow-ups. Now everyone, from customer service representatives to producers to agency owners, can collaborate and share information more easily, and information is no longer stuck in silos that nobody else can access."

Agency Renewal Processor installs on an agency's system with minimal requirements and works seamlessly with its existing Applied TAM data, according to the company, which added that it plans to make similar solutions available for other agency management systems in the future.
