Guy Carpenter's Instrat unit has produced a report on Hurricane Rita. The storm is located approximately 75 miles south-east of Key West in Florida and packs sustained winds of around 85 miles per hour. The National Hurricane Center said Rita is expected to affect parts of Florida (the Florida Keys, in particular) as it moves across the Gulf of Mexico before making landfall in Texas as a category 3 storm over the weekend.
