The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies has upgraded its legislative and regulatory tracking services for its members.
The new Legislative and Regulatory Information Service is powered by the State Net legislative and regulatory news service.
Roger Schmelzer, NAMIC senior vice president for state and regulatory affairs, said LARIS will allow every employee at a NAMIC member company to search the database and receive automatic updates with no additional charge.
"LARIS is the ideal supplement to a company compliance function," Mr. Schmelzer said. "It will also allow insurers to be informed on a very current basis about what is happening in a legislature or insurance department that might affect their business," he added.
