CIS Group, a provider of personal and commercial lines underwriting inspections, has announced the acquisition of GPL Solutions, located in Atlanta.
According to Michael Stanley, president and CEO of CIS Group, CIS will benefit from the operations expertise and industry experience that Hurst, Texas-based GPL Solutions has acquired over the past nine years as a provider of underwriting field operations in the Southeastern U.S.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the transaction involved both cash and stock, said Mr. Stanley.
Post-acquisition corporate structure includes retention of key GPL Solutions management. Mr. Stanley noted, "We are excited that both principals have agreed to join the CIS Group. Landon Jordan will now direct the technology pursuits at CIS while Gene Butler joins our team as vice president of Field Operations."
