The Vermont Captive Insurance Association and the State of Vermont, as part of its tour of cities across the United States, will present a seminar Nov. 30 in Memphis, Tenn. on the benefits of captive insurance.

"Understanding the Strategic Advantages of Captives," at the Memphis Marriott, will be preceded by a captive owners' roundtable luncheon and followed by an evening reception, the association said.

The panel will include three captive owners as well as Vermont's director of captive insurance Derek White.

The seminar is recommended for anyone wishing to learn about captives, VCIA said. This includes executives of companies, organizations or associations considering forming a captive, or those with a captive wishing to review operation and management of other captives.

Presenters include Mark Francis, executive vice president, Consortium RRG; Dana Kamp, liability risk manager, CircleTree Insurance Company (International Paper); and Bob Pastore, Broadstreet Insurance Company,
(Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.), according to VCIA.

VCIA said admission is free but seating is limited and the organization requests registration by Nov. 28
