Bruce W. Hill was named chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New Jersey during its 112th annual conference held last week in Galloway, N.J.
Mr. Hill, president of the R. Bruce Hill Agency in Millburn and Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., took office Oct. 11. He will serve as chairman for a one-year term.
Mr. Hill has been a member of the IIABNJ board of directors for the past nine years. He is a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Essex County and former chairman of the IIABNJ Young Agents Committee (YAC). Currently, Mr. Hill sits on the board of directors of Service Insurance Company.
Also elected to one-year terms were:
o Brian F. Durkin, president of the Durkin Agency in Northvale, N.J., as chairman-elect.
o William H. Malone Jr., president of Continental Marmorstein & Malone in Paramus, N.J., as vice chairman.
o Charles S. Stults III, president of Allen and Stults in Jamesburg, N.J., as state national director.
o David L. Wrysch Sr., president of the Van Dyk Group in Manahawkin, N.J., as immediate past-chairman.
Also, Susan M. Gregory, at G. Steel & Associates, LLC in Hamilton, N.J., was elected chairwoman of the YAC Board.
Joining Ms. Gregory on the YAC Board are:
o David Strout Jr., at Cettei & Connell Inc. in Woodbury, N.J., as chairman-elect.
o Jacqueline C. Bethanis, of the Van Dyk Group in Manahawkin, as vice chairwoman.
o Michael McGrath, at the Van Dyk Group, as past-chairman.
The association also honored Jacki Jungsberger, president of Tri County Agency of Brick, N.J., with the "Howard Kucher IIABNJ Board Member of the Year" award.
She was honored for her service and dedication to the association through her past eight years on the IIABNJ board of directors.
