The Ohio Casualty Insurance Company named Ralph S. "Mike" Michael III president and chief operating officer of the company.
The appointment of Mr. Michael, 50, takes effect July 25, the Fairfield, Ohio, insurer said.
Mr. Michael was previously with U.S. Bank, National Association, where he was executive vice president and manager of Private Asset Management. In addition, Mr. Michael currently serves as a director on the Ohio Casualty Corporation Board of Directors, a position he will resign the day he assumes his new post.
Mr. Michael replaces Elizabeth "Beth" M. Riczko, president of insurance operations, who resigned June 3 to pursue other interests. The position of COO was vacant for a number of years, a company spokeswoman said.
Ohio Casualty Insurance is a subsidiary of Fairfield-based Ohio Casualty Corporation.
