Q.Know Technologies Inc., an information management software provider, announced that OdysseyRe Holdings Corp. is its newest client. Terms of the arrangement were not announced.
OdysseyRe, a New York-based worldwide underwriter of property and casualty treaty, program and facultative reinsurance, will deploy the software product for use with their underwriting process to bring organization of and visibility into all electronic documents and files (including e-mail), according to Q.Know.
The software provider said its product would help OdysseyRe with more efficient and effective methods for organizing, sharing and archiving reinsurance contracts and the hundreds of supporting documents that accompany each transaction.
Q.Know explained that OdysseyRe is also using its product largely to relieve the demand on resources required to meet Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, as other modes of organizing and retrieving deal-related electronic documentation (especially e-mail) can be extremely costly and time-consuming.
Q.Know said it helps the reinsurer be more easily Sarbanes-Oxley compliant and address the overwhelming amount of electronic information–such as e-mail, documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, Web pages and graphics files–needed in transaction-oriented businesses providing instant access to enterprisewide information.
