James S. Barton was named chief executive officer and president of Hub International Barton, a Canadian subsidiary of Hub International.
Mr. Barton succeeds his father, R. Craig Barton, the founder of Barton Insurance, who will serve as chairman, the Chicago-based insurance broker said.
James Barton began his career with Barton Insurance in 1977. He was named senior vice president of Hub Barton in 1991 and president and chief operating officer in January 2005.
Barton Insurance became a Hub International company in 1998.
