NU Online News Service, May 11, 11:52 a.m. EDT--Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired WorkCare Northwest Inc., a program administrator headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
Terms of the deal were not released, the Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker said.
Established in 1998, WorkCare specializes in workers' compensation insurance for a diverse range of industries. Its business is derived from independent insurance agents and brokers in the western U.S., Gallagher said.
Gallagher said WorkCare's management associates, a total of 17 employees, will continue to operate out of their current locations in Idaho and two offices in Reno and Las Vegas, Nev., under the direction of Joel Cavaness, president of Risk Placement Services Inc., a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
