NU Online News Service, May 23, 3:58 p.m. EDT--The Agents Council for Technology (ACT) announced its redesign of ACTtech, a Web site dedicated to helping independent agents and brokers compare the latest technology capabilities vendors and carriers offer.
The site gives producers information about specific carrier and vendor technology concerning line of business, transaction type and states' regulations. It can generate comparison reports on any particular carrier, vendor or transaction selected by the producer.
The new ACTtech site allows users to search under four major categories: "Carrier Possibilities," "Vendor Possibilities," "My Possibilities" and "Process Possibilities."
According to the Council one of the major improvements on the site is contained in "My Possibilities." The site permits producers to create and print comparison reports for any combination of transactions, carriers, systems and states they select.
The site includes improved tools that carriers and vendors can use to manage their data on the site more efficiently. The site also features a rotating display of the latest carrier/vendor additions to the database so that visitors to the site always can see what is new.
The ACTtech Web site and database were developed by Afni Insurance Services, which will provide ongoing management of these resources, ACT said.
ACT is a part of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America based in Alexandria, Va. ACTtech is located at http://www.acttech.org or can be viewed from the ACT Web site at www.independentagent.com/act. There is no fee for use or to add information to the site, ACT said.
