IIABA Names Soto President-Elect
NU Online News Service, April 28, 3:12 p.m. EDT?The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's National Board has named Alex Soto president-elect and Robert E. Fulwider vice president.
Once confirmed by the full membership, Mr. Soto would assume his new office in September at the 2005 Big "I" Convention in New York City. Mr. Fulwider would become vice president at the same meeting.
The 2005 IIABA conference will be held at the Hilton New York and Towers.
Mr. Soto, currently vice president, is president of Miami-Fla.-based InSource, Inc. He was elected to the Executive Committee in October 2001.
IIABA said Mr. Soto has been an independent insurance agent for 32 years and has beenactive in the Big "I" nationally and in the Florida Association of Independent Agents. He is a past chairman of the FAIA and also a past national director.
Mr. Fulwider is principal and president of the Ray Wuestenberg Agency Inc. in West Liberty, Iowa, and of the Fulwider Agency Inc. in West Branch, Iowa. He also is president of Bob Fulwider and Associates, a life-and-health financial-planning agency in eastern Iowa.
