Ingrey Named New Arch Capital Chairman

NU Online News Service, March 17, 4:07 p.m. EST?Bermuda insurer Arch Capital announced that its founder, Robert Clements will step down April 1 and be succeeded as chairman by Vice Chairman Paul Ingrey.[@@]

The company said that, keeping in line with its succession plan, Mr. Clements will continue to serve as a consultant for Arch.

Mr. Ingrey first joined Arch in 2001 as its reinsurance operations' chairman and chief executive and became the group vice chairman in April 2004, with responsibility for underwriting oversight. In November 2004, he was appointed the chairman of the board's underwriting oversight committee.

"In my new role, I look forward to continuing to work closely with Arch Capital Chief Executive Officer Dinos Iordanou and the rest of the senior team in executing the long-term business plan," Mr. Ingrey said.
