CICA Names Young As Chairman

NU Online News Service, March 25, 12:18 p.m. EST?The Captive Insurance Companies Association announced that Terry E. Young was elected chairman of the board of directors during its annual conference in Carlsbad, Calif.[@@]
Mr. Young, of Gadsden, Ala., is president and chief executive officer of the Selective Insurance Group captive of Mid South Industries, a manufacturing company in Gadsden.
CICA also announced that Deborah Burd, Harrah's Entertainment, Memphis, Tenn., was elected vice chair and Les Boughner, Zurich Insurance, Chicago, Ill., was elected secretary-treasurer.
The conference also saw the formal introduction of Dennis Harwick, who recently joined CICA as its first full-time president, to 421 CICA members and conference attendees from 13 countries and 16 domiciles.
CICA said next year's conference is scheduled for March 8-10, in Orlando, Fla. at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.
