U.S.I. Chief Ops Officer O'Neil Resigns
NU Online News Service, Feb. 28, 4:10 p.m. EST?U.S.I. Holdings Corp. said Thomas E. O'Neil, the company's senior vice president and chief operating officer, has resigned from the insurance brokerage.[@@]
In a brief announcement made late Friday, the Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.-based firm said Mr. O'Neil left the company "to pursue other interests."
U.S.I. said it has launched a search for a permanent replacement. In the interim, regional operating officers will report directly to David L. Eslick, U.S.I.'s chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Commenting on the resignation, Mr. Eslick said, "We sincerely thank Tom for his passionate hard work and exemplary dedication to U.S.I. since he joined the company in 1996."
