APPEX Adds 4 New Partners

Agency Peak Performance Exchange's (APPEX) newest members are the Al Purmort Insurance Agency in Sarasota, Fla.; San Joaquin Valley Insurance Associates Inc., in Fresno, Calif.; Sawyer Cook Insurance, in Redlands, Calif.; and Van Zandt, Emrich & Cary Inc. of Louisville, Ken.
APPEX was formed and is administered by the agency consulting firm Marsh Berry & Company Inc., based in Concord, Ohio
APPEX is currently comprised of 96 independent insurance agencies from 35 states, representing about $5.6 billion in insurance premiums (see NU Magazine, March 29, 2004, page 22).
The group works together to enhance the value of their businesses as measured by the personal income of agency owners, the value of the owner's agency, and the owner's return on equity.
To qualify for APPEX membership, candidates must meet specific size and quality criteria. The agencies must also demonstrate creative and effective business practices, the willingness to share with peers, and a strong desire to grow and improve.
