PIANY Names Hall Exec Of The Year

NU Online News Service, Jan. 21, 12:18 p.m. EST?John T. Hall II, president and chief operation officer for Magna Carta Companies, based in New York City, has been given the Company Executive of the Year Award by the Professional Insurance Agents of New York.[@@]

PIANY also honored Harvey A. Leff, president of Brooks of New York Inc., of Brooklyn, N.Y., General Agent Executive of the Year.

Awards were also given to two customer service representatives, Moises A. Ruiz and Julia Mitchell.

Mr. Ruiz, a customer service representative with Avalon-Schaffer Agency Inc. in Bedford, N.Y., was given the Bernard I. Kozel Memorial Scholarship award, and Ms. Mitchell the Arthur I. Moll Memorial Scholarship.

The Bernard I. Kozel Memorial Scholarship provides tuition for two courses conducted by PIANY toward the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation. It is given to a full-time insurance professional with less than five years of experience in the industry.

The Arthur I. Moll award goes to a PIANY member who is a full-time insurance professional with less than five years of experience in the insurance industry.

Ms. Mitchell will receive tuition for two courses conducted by PIANY toward the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation.

The awards ceremony took place yesterday during PIANY's Metropolitan Regional Awareness Program, held in Brooklyn, N.Y.
