NAIC Reveals Exec Salaries

Ms. Weatherford, previous Oklahoma insurance commissioner, was among the top five NAIC officials whose compensation for 2004 was released last week.
Chris Evangel, managing director for the Securities Valuation Office since 1999, received compensation of $261,621 for the year. He directs NAIC efforts to monitor the credit quality of insurer investments.
David Wetmore, director of government relations in the NAIC Washington office, received compensation of $194,525 last year. He oversees NAIC government and international relations along with health policy.
General counsel Andy Beal was compensated with $175,986 last year.
Life and health actuary Mark Peavy received compensation of $172,929 last year, according to the NAIC.
