Investigation Update Site Launched

NU Online News Service, Jan. 12, 10:06 a.m. EST?A regional agents' association has launched a Web page to give members the latest information on various investigations concerning broker compensation and other industry conduct.[@@]
The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State, New Jersey, Connecticut and New Hampshire has launched the Agent & Broker Compensation & Disclosure Update Web page through its Web site at www.piaonline.org.
PIA said the site organizes information on the investigation into key sections including:
? What's new (latest headlines).
? Companies (company news).
? Legal action (suits, attorneys general and legal issues).
? National issues (including updates on work done by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, National Conference of Insurance Legislators, and Congress).
? State-specific information for each affiliate state managed from Glenmont, N.Y. (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and New Hampshire).
Jaye Czupryna, a spokeswoman for the PIA regional, said the site would consist of news summaries and story links.
The page, titled "ABCD Agent & Broker Compensation & Disclosure UPDATE" is available only to PIA regional members.
Registration is available at www.piaonline.org.
