Brown & Brown Buys American Specialty
NU Online News Service, Dec. 23, 2:20 p.m. EST?Brown & Brown, Inc., said it has reached an agreement to acquire American Specialty Companies, Inc., of Roanoke, Ind., and its affiliated companies, which specialize in the sports and entertainment industry. [@@]
Terms of the deal were not released. Completion of the deal is subject to customary conditions, the Daytona Beach, Fla., broker said.
American Specialty, with annualized revenues of approximately $13 million, is a provider of insurance and risk services for the sports and entertainment industry with clients in professional sports, motor sports, amateur sports, and the entertainment industry. American Specialty will continue to operate from its corporate campus in Roanoke as a stand-alone Brown & Brown operation.
