Pickering Retiring From Agnew Higgins Pickering
NU Online News Service, Nov. 10, 3:55 p.m. EST?Tony Pickering, chairman of Agnew Higgins Pickering & Company Limited, an independent Lloyd's broker based in London, will retire in June of next year, it was announced.[@@]
He will be succeeded by Richard Borgonon, 49, who will join the firm's board as chairman-designate effective Jan. 3, 2005.
Mr. Borgonon was previously with Aon, where during the past eleven years he held various senior posts including business development and executive management positions in Europe, Australia and the U.S. He was most recently chairman of international operations for Aon's Managing General Underwriting Companies.
"Our company has experienced tremendous success since its formation in 1998," said Mr. Pickering, 58, in a statement. "By providing choice and practicing transparency, we have gained unparalleled client trust and loyalty. I wish Richard every success with our fantastic team. His knowledge and experience will help the company develop into other niche areas complementing our energy business."
