HUB Reveals British Columbia Acquisition
NU Online News Service, Nov. 2, 11:12 a.m. EST?Hub International Limited announced that its Canadian life and financial services wholesale brokerage firm, Hub Financial Inc., has acquired TILCO Financial Services Ltd. of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.[@@]
Terms of the cash transaction were not disclosed.
The Chicago-based broker said TILCO has been a major client of the Toronto-based Hub Financial since Tilly Enriquez founded TILCO in 1993. TILCO produced revenue of approximately $415,000 ( U.S.) in 2003. TILCO operations will report to Terri DiFlorio, president of Hub Financial.
Hub said the acquisition provides a platform for further expansion of Hub Financial's wholesale brokerage operations on Vancouver Island, Canada.
