Carvill Re Launched In London
NU Online News Service, Nov. 16, 1:50 p.m. EST?Carvill, a reinsurance intermediary in specialty business, announced the launch of Carvill Re to focus on the London reinsurance market.[@@]
Carvill Re, the company said, will concentrate on all classes of London market reinsurance and worldwide retrocession, including marine and energy.
John Cavanagh, who has more than 30 years experience in the London market, has been named chairman; Andrew Carvill, who has worked on projects with London underwriters and in the United States, has been named managing director.
"Carvill Re is a significant element in the recent reorganization of Carvill's operations," Mr. Cavanagh said, adding that the company has "a long history of developing innovative solutions and is already a well-established player in these markets."
Carvill Re will be based in Carvill's existing offices in London.
