Zurich Unit Picks Kaplan As Chief Underwriting Officer
NU Online News Service, Oct. 7, 11:10 a.m. EDT?Zurich Financial Services, Zurich, Switzerland, has picked Gary Kaplan as chief underwriting officer for its North America Commercial operations.[@@]
The company said Mr. Kaplan will also become the head of North America Commercial's Technical Center.
Mr. Kaplan, 47, worked most recently as senior vice president and program executive for underwriting-related initiatives with the Strategic Initiatives Group, part of Zurich North America Commercial.
Mr. Kaplan's experience at Zurich also includes leading the underwriting of large property business for the former Diversified Products business unit and serving as senior vice president and director of Energy Property. Mr. Kaplan first joined Zurich in 1995.
