Four States Get IIABA Ed Awards

NU Online News Service, Oct. 11, 12:06 p.m. EDT?The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America group meeting in Orlando, Fla., honored its state associations from New Mexico, Virginia, North Carolina and Michigan for outstanding commitment to education.[@@]

The four units of the Alexandria, Va.-based IIABA were given the L.P. McCord National Education Award.

State associations in four size categories that have provided their members with the best opportunity to broaden their knowledge of the insurance profession are given the award based on their innovation in education, single-best seminar and non-seminar education services.

In the category of "Less Than 250 Members," the award went to the Independent Insurance Agents of New Mexico (IIANM).

In the "Less Than 460 Members" category, the award was presented to the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia (IIAV).

In the "Less Than 1,000 Members" category, the award was bestowed upon the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC).

In the "More Than 1,000 Members" category, the honor was awarded to the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents.
