White Picked As NAMIC Chairman

NU Online News Service, Sept. 23, 10:14 a.m. EDT?Wayne F. White, president and chairman of Home Mutual Fire Insurance Co., Conway, Ark., was elected chairman of the board of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies yesterday in Washington.[@@]

The vote took place during the association's business meeting, held at the 109th annual convention at the Hilton Washington.

Robert A. Wadsworth was named NAMIC vice chairman. Mr. Wadsworth is president and chief executive officer of Preferred Mutual Insurance Co., New Berlin, N.Y. Gerald P. Schmidt, president of Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance Co., Enumclaw, Wash., was elected vice chairman, and John T. Hill II, president and chief operating officer of Magna Carta Cos., New York, continues as secretary-treasurer of the association.

Board members and directors at large were also selected at the session.
