Selective Insurance Gets Top PIA Honor
NU Online News Service, Sept. 16, 3:02 p.m. EDT?The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents has picked Selective Insurance Group for its Company Award of Excellence, and Karen Diana for its 2004 PIA National Company Representative of the Year.[@@]
The awards were delivered during a ceremony in Orlando, Fla., held at a national PIA board of directors meeting.
The company award honors companies for their commitment to PIA, to the American Agency System, and to furthering the interests and creating a better business environment for independent insurance agents.
Selective Insurance is based in Branchville, N.J.
Ms. Diana is territory manager of the Southern New England Regional Office of Keene, N.H.-based Peerless Insurance. She was honored for outstanding service to professional insurance agents, the insurance industry and her community.
She is an active member of PIA of Connecticut. In 1997, she was elected the first female President of the Young Insurance Professionals of Connecticut. She was also a member of the board of directors of PIA of Connecticut from 1996 to1999.
