According to Reston, Va.-based Q.Know, the effect of deploying Stellent Outside In Viewer Technology within the Q.Know software will greatly enhance the Q.Know "Preview" capability.

Prior to this technology relationship, Q.Know users had to rely on the native applications (e.g., Microsoft Word) for document previewing, the company said. With the Stellent technology, users can preview a document without waiting for another application to open, "significantly" enhancing the speed with which Q.Know users can review mail items and their attachments or locate items of interest.

Outside In Viewer Technology allows copying, pasting and printing files in more than 225 file formats on Unix and Windows platforms, said Q.Know.

The company said it has created "the first information management software based on how people really think and work." Q.Know said it offers a simple and intuitive approach to finding, sharing and managing information.
