Tech Experts Headline ISOTech 2004
NU Online News Service, Aug. 17, 12:45 p.m. EDT?John C. Dvorak, columnist and contributing editor for PC Magazine, is scheduled to l be the keynote speaker at the ISOTech 2004 insurance technology conference scheduled for Nov. 14-16 in New Orleans
Speaking on "The Horrors of Modern Computing," Mr. Dvorak is to talk about new technologies and discuss ways to protect networks and information systems from potential threats posed by spam, worms, viruses and hackers, said Jersey City, N.J.-based ISO.
In a general session, National Underwriter Technology Editor Ara Trembly will moderate "Insurance Technologies: Treasures or Trash," in which technology vendors and consultants will speculate about hot?and not-so-hot?technologies for the industry, ISO said.
Panelists for the session include William N. Pieroni, general manager, IBM Global Insurance Industry, Chuck Johnston, director-industry marketing, Callidus Software; D. Michael O' Connor, vice president, property-casualty service operations innovations, The Hartford; Judy Johnson, vice president-insurance, Sapiens, and James Bisker, senior analyst-insurance, TowerGroup.
Another general session will feature Marne E. Gordan, director of regulatory affairs for TruSecure Corp., who will offer insights and real-world examples related to information security breaches, said ISO.
