President's Panel Set For IIABA Young Agents

NU Online News Service, June 9, 3:26 p.m. EDT?A panel of five insurance organization presidents will discuss issues affecting the future of the independent agency system at an agents' conference this October in Florida.[@@]

The group will share their insights at the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America's 29th Annual Young Agents Sales & Leadership Conference.

Due to appear then are: current IIABA President Louise "BeBe" Canter; Mike LaRocco, president and chief operating officer of Safeco Personal Insurance; Bob Williams, president, independent channel, Progressive Insurance; Dan Carmichael, president and chief executive officer of Ohio Casualty Group; Doug Wendt, president of Encompass Insurance and Deerbrook Insurance.

The session will be moderated by John Olivieri Jr., a partner at J.K. Olivieri Insurance Agency in Lakeville, Mass., IIABA said.

The conference will run Oct. 8-10 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Fla., in conjunction with the IIABA Convention which will run Oct. 9 to 12.
