Bhojwani Named Fireman's Commercial President

NU Online News Service, June 8, 12:49 p.m. EDT?Fireman's Fund Insurance Company said Gary C. Bhojwani has been named president of commercial business for the firm.[@@]

Mr. Bhojwani, 36, was previously president of Lincoln General Insurance Company, a York, Pa.-based subsidiary of Kingsway Financial Services, Mississauga, Ontario.

A company spokesman said he fills a vacancy created when Tom Geissler moved from the post to become chief executive officer of discontinued operations at Fireman's parent company Allianz.

Fireman's Fund said its commercial business segment produces an annual premium volume of approximately $1.8 billion in premiums by supplying a range of property and casualty coverages for small-to-medium-size American businesses.

Fireman's Fund CEO Charles Kavitsky said Mr. Bhojwani has the experience and strategic vision to lead the commercial business segment "to a new level of success following the company's successful turnaround over the last three years."

Prior to Lincoln General, Bhojwani was founder and president of Avalon Risk Management, a national underwriting manager, third-party administrator and insurance brokerage.
