Acordia Acquires Speare & Company

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the Chicago-based insurance broker and subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Company said.
The acquisition, Acordia said, would double the size of the firm's operations in Encino, Calif.
For over 50 years, Speare said it has provided insurance and risk management strategies in the areas of property, liability, life, health and accident insurance. The agency will continue to service clients from current location.
Acordia would not release information on Speare's revenues or number of employees.
