According to the All-Russian Insurers' Union, the largest insurer association in Russia, the country's growing ranks of private corporations, as well as an increasing number of affluent individuals, still have much to insure, and as insurance awareness continues to spread, more businesses and individual clients will begin to purchase insurance for their properties and liabilities.
All-Russian Insurers' Union also noted in its press release that the insurance industry would remain one of the fastest-growing areas of the Russian economy and that positive trends would persist even if the overall economic growth slows down in the country.
The group also forecast that in a best-case scenario, the Russian marketplace could see overall insurance premiums rise to $165 billion by 2010.
