Acordia Acquires Baldwin & Whitney
NU Online News Service, May 5, 3:20 p.m. EDT–Acordia Inc. said it has acquired Baldwin & Whitney, an independent agency based in Dayton, Ohio.[@@]
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition doubles the size of Acordia in the Dayton, Ohio, area, the firm said.
Acordia, a subsidiary of San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Company, said this is the 14th acquisition since it became a part of Wells Fargo three years ago.
Baldwin & Whitney, established in 1881, provides a broad spectrum of commercial property-casualty, employee benefit and financial services. The firm would continue to operate out of its current location, Acordia said.
Acordia refused to release any financial or personnel information regarding Baldwin & Whitney.
