Gallagher Acquires Iowa Agency

Terms of the deal were not released, the Itasca, Ill.-based broker said.
Established in 1983, the Laster Agency offers a wide range of individual, employee and executive benefit programs and consulting services including life, disability, medical, dental and customized retirement plans.
The agency's seven associates will continue to operate out of their current suburban Des Moines office under the direction of J. Michael Brewer, executive vice president and central regional manager of Gallagher Benefit Services, a subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.
J. Patrick Gallagher, president and chief executive officer of Gallagher, said in a statement that the acquisition would complement the firm's Gallagher Benefit's central region by helping to expand its Midwest benefits sales and service capabilities.
