Colton To Head Lockton M&A Group
NU Online News Service, March 22, 3:49 p.m. EST?Lockton Companies, Kansas City, Mo., the largest privately owned U.S. insurance brokerage, said Richard M. Colton has joined the company as chairman of its Mergers and Acquisitions Group.[@@]
Mr. Colton was most recently Chairman of Aon's Global Mergers and Acquisitions Practice, which he co-founded in the early 1990s. During his 17 years at Aon, Mr. Colton's positions included serving as national practice leader, mergers and acquisitions.
John Lumelleau, president of Lockton Companies said the company intends to "build the premier M&A brokerage in the industry. Given Rich's experience as a global private equity consultant, his product innovation and team leading skills, we are confident he is the individual to help us accomplish our goal."
Lockton's Mergers and Acquisitions Group provides insurance and risk management solutions to private equity groups and their portfolio companies.
