Marsh Acquires Hinckley Yacht Brokerage

Established in 1948, HMI has offices in Southwest Harbor and Yarmouth, Maine; Newport, R.I.; and Stuart, Fla. The firm serves clients throughout the United States and internationally. HMI was an operating company of The Hinckley Company, a manufacturer of high-quality yachts.
Lisa Lindsay, U.S. practice leader for Marsh's private client services practice, said the acquisition expands Marsh's capabilities in risk management for the luxury watercraft industry.
Lee Judd, president of HMI, will manage yacht insurance groups within Marsh's private client services practice. Marsh said it would maintain HMI's operations in Maine and other locations.
