NCOIL Names '04 Committee Chairs
NU Online News Service, Jan. 9, 10:39 a.m. EST?The National Conference of Insurance Legislators announced the names of state lawmakers who will chair committees in 2004.[@@]
NCOIL President State Sen. Steven A. Geller, D-Hallandale Beach, Fla., said the new committee heads will work on such critical issues as modernization of rate and form regulation, market conduct reform, international reinsurance collateral, and natural disaster insurance.
The appointees, Sen. Geller said, will serve until the end of his term as NCOIL president in November 2004. State Rep. Mark Young, R-Orwell, Vt., will chair the NCOIL International Insurance Issues Committee and
State Rep. George Keiser, R-Bismarck, N.D., will chair the NCOIL Property-Casualty Insurance Committee.
