CNA Offer Small Commercial Lines Site

Chicago-based insurance company CNA said it has an easier and faster way for agents to write small commercial business online through its agent Web site CNA Central (www.cnacentral.com).

The technological advancements of this site, created with agent feedback, make it possible for agents to quote and request issuance for the full portfolio of CNA small commercial coveragesbusiness account package policy, workers compensation, commercial auto and umbrellaas well as international and management and professional liability coverages, the carrier said.

CNA Central also offers easy access to policy and claim information, co-branded sales materials, agency management reports, and direct bill service, the company noted.

“Weve listened to our agents every step along the way,” said Barbara Flanigan, assistant vice president, CNA Small Business, in a statement. “CNA may have not been the first in the Web-enabled application game, but we are definitely the strongest when it comes to listening to our agents and delivering the applications and ease-of-use features they want.

“CNA Central significantly speeds up the process of issuing policies as it is completely within the agent's control,” she continued. “Today, an agent submitting a new business request would get a response in about five days, which exceeds our 10-day service commitment. With CNA Central, agents can quote and request issuance in as little as 20-30 minutes, with the policy then mailed out the next day. Only agents have access to CNA Central, not policyholders.”

As of Nov. 21, CNA launched electronic document delivery (eDocs) by CNA Central, Ms. Flanigan said. eDocs allows agencies to view, save, print and e-mail commercial policy documents by CNA Central prior to receiving the paper policyholder version. She said CNA is confident this new functionality will benefit agencies.
