Dorfi Named Alliance Chair
The Board of Directors of the Alliance of American Insurers named Klaus G. Dorfi as its new chairman at the association's 81st annual meeting in Carlsbad, Calif.
Mr. Dorfi is chairman and chief executive officer of The Atlantic Mutual Companies in New York City. He succeeds Anthony C. "Tony" Dickson, president and CEO of the New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Companies, West Trenton, N.J.
Gerald Whitburn, president and CEO of Church Mutual Insurance Company in Merrill, Wisc., was named chairman-elect.
David C. Cruikshank, president and CEO of Service Insurance Company in Bradenton, Fla., will serve as vice chairman for the 2003-2004.
The Downers Grove, Ill.-based Alliance of American Insurers represents the interests of more than 340 property-casualty insurers nationwide.
