PMI Mortgage Ins. Names Stephen Smith CEO
NU Online News Service, Dec. 10, 3:21 p.m. EST?Mr. Smith is currently serving as PMI Group's president and chief operating officer, titles that he will continue to keep after taking on his additional role as PMI Mortgage Insurance's new CEO. The appointment will go into effect beginning next month.
As the new chief of PMI Mortgage Insurance, Mr. Smith will be responsible for overall management of the business and also represent PMI in the industry association Mortgage Insurance Companies of America, in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Smith joined PMI in 1979. Prior to working at PMI, he served as vice president for C&S Mortgage Company, based in Atlanta.
