Wash. Agencies Merge
NU Online News Service, Nov. 6, 12:15 p.m. EST?Newton Insurance Agency & Brokerage, Inc. of Bellevue, Wash. has merged with Conover Insurance, Inc. of Kirkland, Wash.
Founded by Ronald Newton in 1984, Newton Insurance is a full-service retail insurance brokerage offering commercial and personal property-casualty insurance services and employee benefits to clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Mr. Newton and his staff will combine with Conover's Kirkland office under the direction of Bradley D. Green, chief executive officer of Conover Insurance, Inc., the agency said.
Conover Insurance, Inc. founded in Yakima, in 1923, is a full-service insurance brokerage firm offering risk management services, commercial and personal p-c insurance, life, health, employee benefits and financial services. The firm has offices in Kirkland, Yakima, and Tri-Cities, Wash., and Bend, Oregon.
The two firms combined have annualized revenue of approximately $12 million with 100 employees.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
