B&B Acquires Benefit Resource Group
NU Online News Service, Oct. 31, 10:20 p.m. EST?Brown & Brown Inc. announced it is acquiring Benefit Resource Inc., Benefit Resource of Indiana Inc., and Business Benefits Group Inc.
The three firms, started by Andy Anderson 25 years ago in Owensboro, Ky., specialize in serving the employee benefits needs of businesses throughout Kentucky and Indiana. The three firms combined have annualized revenues of approximately $2.5 million, B&B said in a statement. The group has offices in Newburgh, Ind., and Owensboro.
Eric E. Anderson, chairman of the group, will continue in his role and become a member of B&B's executive committee. Andy Anderson, Dan Davis in Kentucky, Patty McGowan in Indiana and their staffs will continue to serve clients at their current locations as free-standing B&B offices.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
