Arthur J. Gallagher Buys Human Resources Firm
NU Online News Service, Oct. 24, 12:24 p .m. EDT?Insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced the acquisition of HRadvantage LLC, a human-resource specialist firm based in Waukegan, Ill. Terms of the purchase were not announced.
Gallagher, based in Itasca, Ill., said HRadvantage's management team and its staff will continue to operate out of their current office under the direction of James Durkin, president of Gallagher Benefit Services, a unit of Arthur J. Gallagher.
HRadvantage, founded in 1994, offers various human-resource consulting services including compensation program renovation, custom market studies, outsourced human-resource services and employee communication support.
Commenting on his firm's latest transaction, J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chief executive officer at Arthur J. Gallagher, noted that HRadvantage will help expand AJG's human-resources service capabilities and bring additional experienced human-resource specialists to the brokerage's Benefit Services Division. "HRadvantage is committed to providing value and service to their clients, and this commitment is exactly what we look for in an acquisition partner," Mr. Gallagher said.
