PIANY Seeks Nominees For Scholarships
NU Online News Service, Sept. 25, 12:06 p.m. EDT?The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. in Albany, N.Y., said they are seeking customer service representatives to nominate for potential recipients of Arthur I. Moll and Bernard I. Kozel Memorial Scholarships.
Selected individuals will receive tuition to two Certified Insurance Service Representative seminars conducted by PIANY. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 12.
Arthur I. Moll was a past president of PIANY and PIA National. Bernard I. Kozel was a longtime member of the insurance profession.
"The CISR, developed by the Society of CISR, is a nationally recognized designation program for students who are committed to their continuing education and career growth," said T.J. Derella, president of PIANY.
"This program is designed to help customer service representatives become more professional, productive and profitable," said Mr. Derella.
To qualify, an applicant must have less than five years' experience in the insurance industry and be employed on a full-time basis by a member of PIANY.
The awards will be presented to the recipients during PIANY's 2004 Metro Regional Awareness Program in January.
