Marsh Names New President
NU Online News Service, Sept. 30, 10:08 a.m. EDT?Roger E. Egan, 53, was named president of Marsh Inc., filling a vacancy created in July when Ray J. Groves left the post to become chairman and chief executive officer.
Mr. Egan joined Marsh in 1972 and moved up through the ranks of the firm. He headed the Northeast Region prior to becoming president and CEO of North America, a post he held until his appointment as vice chairman in 2002.
"Roger's experience of 31 years with Marsh and his record of accomplishment make him well qualified to assume this expanded role," Mr. Groves said in a statement. "We will work together in a close partnership to share responsibilities for enhancing client service and growing the business."
