InsureZone Tops 2,500 Agents

InsureZone reported that by the end of 2002 it had tripled the number of agents using its Web-based wholesale agency to purchase small commercial insurance.

InsureZone, a subsidiary of Ft. Worth, Texas-based insurance broker Higgenbotham and Associates, announced that more than 2,500 agents across the United States were approved to submit business through its “MarketSecure” technology program.

Since its inception in Oct. 2001, InsureZone said it has quoted nearly $33 million in small commercial premium.

For 2003, InsureZone said it is looking to broaden its product offering to give agents more access to more business.

The Web-based wholesaler also plans to identify more products that would compliment the commercial offering as agents grow their individual practices.

The agency said there are more than 1,900 small-business classes available through its site for businessowners policies, workers compensation, commercial auto and umbrella liability. Quotes and binding can often be obtained in one day, from one of eight standard carriers.

Directors and officers liability insurance, builders risk, errors and omissions, employment practices liability insurance, and bonds are also available.

InsureZone also announced that its Web portal division, AgentSecure, earned the exclusive endorsement of IBA West Service Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Insurance Brokers and Agents of the West.

IBA West Service Corp. focuses on the development of strategic partnerships to provide products and services that help strengthen the business position of the associations members.

IBA West, based in Oakland, Calif., is the 34th state or regional affiliate of the Alexandria, Va.-based Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America to endorse AgentSecure as its preferred small commercial Web-based program, said InsureZone.

AgentSecure is designed to fill the commercial insurance market of small and rural member-agencies without premium volume requirements.
