AIA Hires Drew Cantor To Lobby
NU Online News Service, July 15, 12:51 p.m. EDT? The American Insurance Association in Washington said it has hired Drew Cantor, a Republican Senate aide, as a national lobbyist.
AIA said that Mr. Cantor, who held the post of senior communications advisor to the U.S. Senate Republican Conference, will begin work in August as AIA vice president, federal affairs.
AIA's federal affairs department advocates AIA member company public policy positions to Congress, as well as to the federal executive and judicial branches. AIA represents more than 424 insurance companies that provide all lines of property and casualty insurance.
