BCS Acquires Conn. Agency
NU Online News Service, July 13, 1:39 p.m., EDT?BCS Holdings Inc., a subsidiary of Boston-based Plymouth Rock Assurance Corp., announced the acquisition of Arthur G. Eheman Inc., an independent insurance agency in Shelton, Conn.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Eheman agency will continue to operate under its own name and will maintain relationships with multiple carriers, Plymouth Rock said in a statement.
John MacKenzie, agency manager, and Pamela Allen, agent and office manager, will continue in their roles.
BCS Holding Company was formed in late 1999 to acquire and operate independent agencies, particularly those facing succession or perpetuation issues. This is its first acquisition outside of Massachusetts.
Plymouth Rock and its subsidiaries sell auto and homeowners insurance in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and New Jersey.
